On the instructions of the Kelaniya Divisional Secretary Gayani Ranasinghe and the Deputy Planning Director, with the intervention of the Community Development Officer H.M. Anura, Ayurveda Development Officer Mrs. Salika, Family Health Services Officer and government officials of the division, the Community Development Committee of 262 A Mewella Grama Niladhari Division organized a nutrition awareness program for fifty pregnant mothers and women in the area on Wednesday, 2026/08/05 at the Gurunnange Watta Community Hall, Mewella. Practical preparation of nutritious food from local ingredients, Ayurvedic medical clinic, awareness on dengue control, and distribution of medicinal powder for dengue mosquito control.
