The Samurdhi program for the development of a prosperous Sri Lanka within the disadvantaged groups of the society is now a success story as a pilot project of sustainable development. This program is a powerful source of change in development and a positive change in the economic and social levels of low-income families. This program is implemented with the objective of fostering a prosperous admiration in accordance with the SAARC Convention for the elimination of poverty through the Samurdhi Department to empower them economically by empowering them with income generating projects through the Samurdhi program.
