The activities of the division are carried out under Assistant Director of planning. The following tasks are carried out in this branch.
1. Preparation and implementation of the development plan of the Kelaniya Divisional Secretariat.
i. Submission of development proposals under the decentralized budget for the Hon. Members of Parliament.
ii. Submission of proposals to the Hon. Members of Parliament of the Western Province.
iii. Implementation of projects implemented in the division under other line Ministries
2. Preparation of consolidated development plan and progress review.
3. Conducting Divisional Coordinating Committee Meeting
4. Updating the operations room
i. Collection of necessary information for resource profiles
5. Implement other projects
